8TH GRADE

SPRING

As your last year of middle school winds down, you’re closing the chapter on a special period of your life and facing the start of a new one. Whether you are staying in the same district or moving away from friends and familiarity—high school will present a new set of challenges and opportunities that will be critical in shaping your identity. The next four years will be everything you’ve heard and more—new opportunities, challenges, friendships, and growth. For students that may be moving away from their home countries, you're faced with an even greater change: navigating not only an unfamiliar environment, but also an entirely new culture.

In the midst of this, it is important to start thinking intentionally about your path: the courses you’ll take, the activities you find interesting, and how to stay grounded in the midst of all the pressure and expectations. If you are unsure how to begin, reach out to a mentor to help build an outline to guide you through this exciting new period of your life.
